Schoolscape Industry is a 2-hour online ‘webinar’ event featuring high-impact  leaders. The purpose of the event is to help, guide, and equip the industry behind schools during the uncertainty that COVID19 has caused . You’ll hear inspiring stories from education leaders on how they are adapting. You will also hear, from their own perspective, what schools are facing, how their procurement needs will change and what they expect from school suppliers.

Prof Robert Lue

Harvard Professor, Faculty Director of the Harvard Ed Portal, UNESCO Chair on Life Sciences and Social Innovation. This session will provide insights from a leading education thinker that recently said, “We often say that Africa needs online learning, but just as importantly, I’d say that online learning needs Africa”.  He has a passion for Africa and understanding on how education is adapting. 

Lebogang Montjane

Executive Director ISASA. Lebogang studied at Colombia University as well as Wits University before becoming a law associate. He is now the executive director of the Independent School Association of South Africa which gives him an in-depth view of what is happening in the South African education landscape. Hear from him to understand what the private schools are facing and how to approach them. 

Rob Paddock

Co-founder Getsmarter, CEO Valenture Institute. After exiting GetSmarter for a sale price of R1,4 billion he founded the Valenture Institute. The Valenture Institute provides, school at home, a complete and part time online home schooling. Rob will be presenting on the growing trends in homeschooling and the needs this market has.

Adrian Marnewick

CEO, Learning Lab Apps (WorksheetCloud). They launched free CAPS Aligned Video content to parents expecting a couple of hundred views, instead within 1 month they went viral and had over 1 million views. He will share his story on going ‘viral’.

Author, Chairman HeroTell, Founder Project Isizwe. Project Isizwe brings internet access to low-income communities. Alan will talk on connectivity limiting education in Southern Africa and what can be done about it. He brings years of entrepreneurial experience on how to adapt in challenging times.

Business Manager Bishops College. Bishops is one of the leading schools in Southern Africa. Sean will share on the impact of Covid-19 on procurement.

Gugu Ndebele
