We recognize that privacy is essential. This Privacy Policy applies to all of the events organized by us or our subsidiaries and affiliated companies. This policy covers how we collect and use personal data.
As a South African company, we will comply with the newly instated POPI act and will never use your information without first asking you for your consent.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Registration Forms
When visitors complete registration forms on our website, we collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

This website is connected to our Google Analytics account. As such, if you visit our website, this information may be collected from the device you used to visit our website.
Event Registration and Data Handling
When you register for one of our events, your personal information is handled as follows:
Data Collection through Zoho Forms (the third-party form we use to collect Data):
Our registration forms are created using Zoho Forms and embedded on our WordPress-hosted website. The information you provide in these forms is collected by Zoho Forms.
Data Transfer to Zoho CRM (the third-party CRM we use to manage contact details ) and Zoho Backstage (the third-party conference system and app we use to manage events):
The collected information is automatically sent to Zoho CRM, which we use as our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The information is also sent to Zoho Backstage, our event management platform, to manage event logistics and communication. You can review their privacy policy here.
Information Sharing with Exhibitors:
Your personal information will be shared with exhibitors at our event when they scan the QR code printed on your attendee lanyard. The QR code contains all the personal information you provided during registration, including your name, email address, phone number (if provided), job position, and the school where you are employed. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
