We recently sat down with Raphael from Allxs to break down how the implementation of a new cashless school card ID can streamline school transactions.
Q1: What makes your system unique in the market?

- Tuck shops – pay for food from the tuckshop using a cashless solution (card). Set up daily spend limits, dietary restrictions and notes for the cashier.
- POS – Our integrated point of sale can manage cashless payments, integrated credit card payments, digital vouchers and tickets, discounts, bar code scanning, digital currency, value-added services such as airtime and data.

Q3: What schools use your system and how are they using it?
We have many schools using the system in many ways to achieve their desired objectives. The African Leadership Academy uses the Allxs platform as an economy simulator teaching the students entrepreneurship as well as making the campus cashless.
Deutsche Skool uses the system to manage its social fund which supports underprivileged students as well as providing pre-order facilities to the parents who can order lunches for weeks in advance.
Theo Wassenaar uses the system to manage all payments for events and fundraisers.
Kingsmead College is in the process of activating their uniform and stationery shop making use of the “on account” feature which helps to control purchases by the students which are added to school fees.
St John’s also uses our cashless card for access control as well as for paying on campus.
