His classroom practice emphasises inquiry, creativity, ethical technology use, and learner agency. Over the past few years, Wesley has led and facilitated a range of impactful projects, including learner-designed coding experiences for authentic audiences, data-driven science investigations, augmented reality learning environments, and the responsible introduction of AI as a learning partner in the classroom. These initiatives have helped shift learning from content consumption to knowledge creation and applied thinking. Wesley is passionate about inclusive and purposeful innovation, believing that technology should amplify learning, accessibility, and human connection. He actively supports colleagues by sharing practical strategies, modelling experimentation, and fostering a culture of confidence around educational technology. • Technology
I am an FET-qualified Physical Science and ICT teacher who now finds himself teaching primary school learners about the big and wonderful world. I am passionate about integrating technology to make school life more efficient and engaging. As the go-to person for anything tech-related at our school, I handle everything from setting up and running presentations to managing video conferences and troubleshooting daily technical challenges. I serve as our school’s SASAMS Administrator, ensuring smooth data management and reporting. Over the past two years, I have been piloting the Hello Detention App, a digital discipline-tracking tool that strengthens communication between teachers and parents. I am fluent and efficient in the use of most software, and if I don’t know how to use something, I quickly figure it out. My goal is always to find smart, practical solutions that simplify tasks for staff and enhance the learning environment for our learners.

I recently presented a talk on AI in education at the NAPTOSA National Congress and was a guest on a podcast where I shared my thoughts on integrating AI into teaching and learning.
